With the high levels of corruption in Kenya, intellects in the nation seem to be emulating their leaders in being corrupt and getting shortcuts to success.
What happens when students in the school of medicine cheat only to impress on paper with 1st class Honor's, yet they are half baked?
Efforts by lecturers to supervise hundreds of students in large lecture halls are futile as students have invented unimaginable ways of cheating.
Girls have been reported to write on their thighs,while others are booking positions where they write their points pri- the exams.
Exam cheating is spearheaded by the need for students to achieve good grades without working for the marks.
This could explain the high levels of complaints by employers ,accusing graduates of being half baked.
The penalty of exam cheating is a suspension of one academic year.This penalty though seem to only affect the few recruits who are new in the game.It is sad that some students have been cheating from 1st year to 4th year without being caught,worst of all, the students cheating are not ashamed or embarrassed with this disappointing vice.
Imagine of a half-baked teacher,surgeon,accountant? what will be the progress of a nation full of incompetent professionals?
With the high levels of cheating in our campuses streaming down to high schools they is every reason to worry about the future of this country.
